Hi..
i bought an iphone 3gs from hong kong (officially unlocked by apple) 2-3 months back. i was looking to jailbreak it and i heard it can only be tethered jailbreak 2 months back

is there any update on that situation now.. or is it still tethered ( since then i will prefer to wait)

version 3.1.3
Firmwaire 05.12.01
model MC131ZP

would apprciate a reply..thanks a lot

for newer 3GS iphones a tethered jailbreak is the only way, that only applies to 3.1.2, if you are running 3.1.3 then apple plugged the usb exploit so you cannot jailbreak your phone.
