Tethered to Untethered?

My friend has an iPhone 4 4.3.3 Tethered (Gevey Simed) for T-Mobile.

To simply untether it can I just go to jailbreakme.com and rejailbreak it? Without messing anything up?

You cannot use jailbreakme to JB if you use a Gevey sim
Have your friend run Redsn0w on phone, uncheck install Cydia
It should untether it.

Make sure they have 4.3.3 hashes saved, if not, use iFaith to save them before doing any alternations to the phone.
