If you frame your question a little better you may get a moreuseful answer.

Have you tried it, did you experience any problems?

You don't need to tak the sim out! Just download the file and install it, it's very easy to get tethering working. You will need the hacked carrier file to get MMS, and then you still have to go through hoops for MMS.

so all i do is just download the mobileconfig file for Tethering? then restart and download the MMS setting. Im on a family text plan so hopefully MMS works.

You need to make sure that AT&T doesn't have MMS Opt Out for your iphone. If the opt out is there you can't get MMS for the iphone.

I can confirm the tethering part, at least...just installed the profile on my 3G S, and tethering does indeed work (USB tested). Visual voicemail appears to be okay, as well.

I believe there is a topic on VVM fix. My tethering works now do I just download the MMS file?

Yes it works on 3G

Well, I just turned the phone off and back on again and the VVM is working, along with the tethering. I didn't do anything other than that.

I still don't know how to get the MMS working, and don't know where to download the carrier file.

You think AT&T will charge for using tethering now? I want to do this, but I don't want to end up with a ridiculous phone bill.

i downloaded the mobileconfig and have my iphone connected via bluetooth to the computer, but when i try to open a web page it wont let me. im confused
