If it was jailbroken, I'm certain it will be okay. Seeing as they made a 3G version, I highly doubt they are going to allow it.

I didn't realize how easy it really was to tether. I just picked up a netbook after seeing the iPad really wasn't for me, and I had it connected to my Blackberry and surfing the internet in less than five minutes. I didn't even have to configure anything.

I don't think that PDAnet will work since you have to create a network then connect PDAnet and the ipad won't be able to create a network on it's own. If you have mywi that will most likely work since it turns the iphone into a hotspot.

Is it possible with the Iphone and PDAnet

I don't believe it will work with PDAnet as it requires you to setup and Adhoc network on your laptop/computer. The iPhones does not allow you this type of control, so you would need to use a program like MyFi which turns your iPhone into a wifi hotspot similar to the Mifi devices currently on the market from the carriers. Currently requires you to jailbreak your phone and install but should work as it simply looks like a "wifi hotspot" to my laptop/iMac.

PdaNet for iPad?

It makes more sense for PdaNet to work on iPad due to longer battery life. Has anyone tried it?
