I'm sure this has been answered before, but I'm having trouble finding it. I've got a non-Apple phone that supports tethering via a mini-usb port. I can plug a mini-usb to usb cord into my notebook and access the internet when I'm out of WiFi range.

I'd really like to do the same thing with my iPod Touch when I don't feel like dragging along a notebook, but want a better web browser than my phone's. Can I do this? What will I need? Thanks.
 
The mobile phone does not have wifi. Only cell connection. Are you saying that there is no way to access the internet on a iPod Touch via the data cable?
