iPod touch Tethering iPod Touch to 3G Phone -- Possible?

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I'm having trouble finding it. I've got a non-Apple phone that supports tethering via a mini-usb port. I can plug a mini-usb to usb cord into my notebook and access the internet when I'm out of WiFi range.

I'd really like to do the same thing with my iPod Touch when I don't feel like dragging along a notebook, but want a better web browser than my phone's. Can I do this? What will I need? Thanks.

The mobile phone needs to be able to share it's internet connection via WiFi.

The mobile phone does not have wifi. Only cell connection. Are you saying that there is no way to access the internet on a iPod Touch via the data cable?

There is no way to get Internet on the iPod Touch using USB.
