Tetherme not working on windows7

for some reason I can get it to work on my 4s (Sprint) but I can't get it to work on my g/f's (ATT) we have pretty much all the same things on our phones?

It just connects and says limited access (meaning no internet)

any ideas?

also wanted to include, I tried usb and wifi and neither work, I am able to see/connect to wifi it just says its limited

when I use the troubleshoot option (via usb) it says dns error.
