Is there any way to see the line numbers of the source code in texshop? I am writing my dissertation and have multiple files included in the main file. If I compile and get an error and try to go to the error, it seems to take me to the line where the error is but in the wrong file (it takes me to the main file.) Does anybody know how to handle this? I am new to macs and tex shop (i had been using Kile and am trying to switch over, but at this point, texshop is unworkable for me.)

I found that if you get an error when compiling in TeXShop, you have different choices shown in the console.
If you input 'e' you will be redirected to the error line.
    Works most of times.

I also found that I just have to use the older version from MacTex 2009.
The 2011 version also eliminated the nice parentheses highlighting. Dunno why these were removed with no option to get the functionality back.
