Text box that won't go away

I have tried everything, and I cannot figure out how to get this box to go away every time I am typing anything. It gets in the way and I have to reboot the phone sometimes to get it out of the way. Anyone know how to turn it off?

It is a setting in the accessibility menu somewhere. It was also turned on by default on my iPad after updating.

I think it is called "Floating text input" or something like that
