Hey,

Does anybody know a good text editor that has a syntax highlighting feature for Perl?

Thanks.

BBEdit does.
I think the free version of BBEdit, called TextWrangler, does too, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the replies. I should have mentioned that I am looking for a free application. I havn't had the time to take a look at TextWrangler, I'll definitely do that.

The above mentioned TextWrangler does the trick (and, yes, it's free ;)):

I definitely recommend Smultron. It's written in Cocoa, is a simple but good looking text editor with all your favorite syntax colorings supported. I use it all the time.

I vote for Smultron as well. The developer was very responsive when I needed to ask questions. It has quite a few more useful features other than syntax coloring, such as un/comment, paranthesis matching, tabbed editing, spell checking etc.

For some odd reason I assumed Xcode cannot. Thanks for pointing that out!:)
