text editors and dreamweaver tutorials

I was wondering if anybody knew of any good free text editors for the emac and any good free html tutorials. Also good free dreamweaver tutorials.

I use Emacs (funnily enough) as my text editor which can be downloaded from http://aquamacs.org/.

A decent beginners HTML and CSS guide can be found at http://htmldog.com/.

I dont know of any good Dreamweaver guides but I strongly recommend working through the basics using just a text editor.

I've built my homepage entirely with a texteditor and what I seemed to remember from a small course I took 5 years ago... When you got get the hang of the bassic it's not that hard...

I just recently switched to mac and now I use TextEdit, you just have to go into preferences and make it disregard format codes in HTML... 🙂
