iPod touch Text export to iTunes

Is there no App that you can use on the iPod touch to write simple text files and export them to iTunes by cable? I can't believe this ain't possible. Am I missing something? SketchBook can send PSD files through iTunes, why wouldn't this work for text? (I have no wifi and don't want it...)

FileApp does that trick. And you can get the free version in iTunes
