Hello! I just updated my iPhone 5S to iOS 8 and wanted to use the text forwarding option. However when I go into it it says, Macbook Pro instead of Macbook Air. I used to have a Pro, but I gave it away to get my Air. I was wondering does this matter as I'd like to keep my messages private from the mac. When I gave the Pro away I made sure to do a full reset so I don't think any traces of my iCloud account would be on there. Thanks! Anybody know how to change the name from Pro to Air in it?

If you reset your Mac without signing out of iCloud, the entry will stay there (I'm not sure how long), but don't worry. No one will get your messages unless they successfully sign into your iMessage and iCloud and you enable text forwarding to that device again. Make sure you have signed in to iMessage, iCloud, and FaceTime on your new MBA and then enable text forwarding.
