    Hi,

I am having a problem with my mac which is running Safari on OSX, on certain websites (not all) it displays all (or sometimes only some) of the text as absolute rubbish - it looks like Arabic or something. I thought it may be Safari so I installed Firefox and I have the same problem.... Wikipedia is one of the sites it does it on, but there are several others. Does anyone know why this might be happening or how I can fix it?

    Many thanks

    Jenny.

I'm guessing it's a corrupt font or something. Did you install any fonts lately? Anyway you can give us a screen shot? Might help us find out what is happening.

To take a screen shot, press the following keys:

Command (Apple Key) + Shift + 4. User selected screen shot.
Command (Apple Key) + Shift + 3. Entire screen shot.

There has been a few threads about this over the years. Take a look at this article to see if it helps you remedy the problem.

    Thank you!!!

It looked exactly as example 3 on the second reply.... I have removed the offending font (Helvetica fraction) and all is well :) Thanks again!! x
