Most kind people,

When I’m using text for titles some fonts, like Handwriting – Dakota, appear choppy, but others like Arial are crystal clear. Why would this be?

"Choppy" visually or that they flicker on screen? In either case, try deinterlacing them so that they are the same on both fields.

I'm sorry, I should explian myself better. WHen I say choppy, I don't mean flicker. What I mean is, it looks like a bad fax.

The Plot Thickens

Oh the joys of being a newbie!

OK, I've made this cute little movie with FCE. I exported it as a QuickTime movie. When I play it with QuickTime the text looks like a bad fax. When I play it iTunes it looks great.

Does anyone know why this might be? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Scott

when you say bad, like a bad fax, do you mean it looks pixelated (choppy meaning not smooth)?

what type of fonts are these SEE HERE

this may have to do with the type of compression you are using FCE also.

i'm sure somebody here will be able to better help you.

just a couple of thoughts...
