Text Message Notifications Not Coming Through Watch

I have tried a tone of settings but can't seem to get the notifications for texts to show up on my watch. No audio, no taptic, nothing...help? Am i missing something?

Did you make you that you did not play with your iPhone, iPad or Mac? The first day I received it, I had my phone on and I was wondering why I never got anything on my watch. I had to reset it twice only to find out that it only sends notification when your phone / iPad / Mac are not on.

Sounds like something is wrong. Is your iPhone on while getting these messages? Meaning its unlocked. It wont send to your watch if your on your phone.

Mac can be one - just not currently in iMessage application.

Make sure your phone is not on/being used.

Notifications only go to the watch when the phone is sleeping.
