so apple finally listened and gave us the option to turn the preview off.

before 3.0, in my lockscreen, the preview wasnt seen but when its was open in the springboard the preview was there. i loved it like that, but now its pretty annoying when im in another app or anything, i cant see the preview. apple should include the option to turn it on or off in the springboard or lockscreen.

i wouldnt let just anyone see my iphone, im really surprised at how many people get in some deep **** with the preview on.

im curious to see how many people have my issue

Kinda like your girlfriend seeing another girl text you while she playing with your phone? Yeah... something like that has happened to me.

The real solution would to be able to reply and read right in the pop up so you dont have to interfere with the app.

This is such common sense I cannot believe they havent done it yet

That would be multitasking, amirite? Would be just like having SMS and w/e other app up at the same time. So... that probably won't happen.

SMS already runs in the background.

Apple's apps are allowed to run in the background. See:

iPod
Mail
SMS (Messages)
