within the settings, and then messages, where it says "Receive At" mine shows 2 addresses.it shows my phone number and my email address? why do i need my email address listed here? i dont get text messages at my email address. i am confused??😕
 
You can configure iMessage to send your messages to non-phone devices like the iPod Touch or the iPad by entering the e-mail associated with iCloud.
