Text messages notification/watch

I’m not getting text alerts when my Apple Watch is on. Before I factory reset I was getting them on my iPhone and watch. Not for sure what’s going on exactly

Any update on this? It's happening to me too... pretty annoying. I tried all the things that searches tell you to do, like reset phone, reset the watch, unpair - pair, turn on and off haptics. Seems like this happens every 4-5 months, even though I've only had to watch less than two years. I forget how I solved it last time, but it's definitely happened a couple times before.
