Text notifications will not stop ringing

I uploaded iOS 8 and wish I never did. My text notification will keep playing the music no matter if I open it up or hit every button on the phone. I have tried everything!! Verizon said it was a software issue but it seems if I downloaded the next version of iOS 8.1, the notification would cut off, but it hasn't. Anyone got any suggestions??

If rebooting the phone doesn't resolve it, you can try resetting settings to see if that might do it, and if not you can restore as new and install the (currently) latest iOS 8.2 version.

mine does the same thing even on 8.2!!!

I'd be doing a fresh install of iOS and setting the device up as new.

I just did that and it fixed it

I think it's a bug

so I did the fresh install fixed it for awhile till I used the silencer on the side. After I turn it back on I can't stop the ringtone it only gets quiet as I type a reply. After I restart my phone it'll stop like it's supposed to. Could it be a bug in 8.2? And do you think Apple will fix it?
