Text Overlayed Problem

For the past couple of days my Mac seems to overlay text specially in the Mail App. I have attached some pictures hopefully someone can help.

Specs
MPB 15' Late 2011
i7 2.2Ghz 16GB 512SSD
OSX 10.9

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section. If you need anymore information please ask. I really never this issue fixed
