Text shortcuts regularly crash Safari

Is anyone else experiencing this? Safari regularly crashes (hangs and has to be force quit) when filling in forms, whenever text shortcuts are triggered. It seems to happen about 70% of the time.

This has been happening since iOS8 Beta 1 - I reported it twice, but apparently no one at Apple uses text shortcuts (or they simply don't care) so it's still happening with 8.1 ... I even set up my iPhone 6 as a new phone, solely for this HIGHLY annoying bug, but it still happens. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Wow, so this has only happened to me (on two different iPhones)? I guess nobody else knows how to use text shortcuts?

Nope happens to me. I have a 3 letter shortcut to type me email address to fill in forms, every time it crashes safari!!!

How many letters is your shortcut. Mine is 3. The 3rd letter causes the crash

I just changed to a 2 letter shortcut and will test this out.

Yes, three letter shortcuts here, too. Did you test it with two letters?

Has anybody found a workable solution to this problem? I've been force-quitting Safari before I use it but I'm thinking it might be better to just let it hang so that Apple gets more crash reports.

I use just 2 letters and no more issues. I did send Apple the issue but never heard from them. I am not on iOS 8.1
