In a van down by the river
I have a iPhone X (Sim Free) on T-Mobile with the latest official release of iOS 11. Recently, my text tone alert has stopped working. If I toggle the mute switch on and off (once) it will produce the text tone during testing. At some point, it stops working again. The phone was setup via backup from my other iPhone X (Verizon).

Anyone run across this problem before? If so, any particular toggle I may have missed?

Sounds like a software glitch which may have been ported over when you restored from the backup. Try a hard reset.

You may find an easier solution but I've run across devices that just refused to give notification sounds for a certain app (such as FaceTime). Restoring as new was the only solution as whatever was causing the issue would return with a restore from backup.

I thought that might be the case. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that. I will proceed with the new set up.

Thanks, gents.
