Apple could easily fix most of these misdirected texts by having the texting app revert to the main message screen after a few minutes. I don't know why they haven't done this. Does anyone know how to make the suggestion to them? About once a month I text someone when I think I'm texting my wife because 99% of my texts are to her, so I assume the text thread that pops up when I open text app will be my wife. Then after I send the message I realize it was a client. I don't want to have to click on her name when I'm in the midst of a flurry of texts, but I would like the app to force me to click on her name when I haven't texted for a few minutes. That should be a setting you can set ("revert to main Messages thread list after __ minutes)" like you can set your phone to lock after __ minutes. Alternatively, I'd like them to have a "revert to default texting partner after __ minutes" option. I would set it to my wife. It doesn't hurt if I send a client appointment time to my wife, but it's a problem when I text a client and say "I'm TIRED. I don't want to see any more clients today!" Which is what I just did. :-( Before anyone else makes some snarky comment about just using my brain or being more careful, how about we recognize that people frequently screw up (that's why this thread exists) and that since it would be an EASY fix we suggest to Apple to fix the problem?
