Those who text, how many texts have you been sending / receiving on average?

I remember back in the day, with my old crappy phone, i never text. Getting a text was random to be honest. Mainly because it was so hard to text.

You can find out how many texts you've used by:
Go to wireless.att.com
Login / Create Account
Then go in the middle of the page, and hit the data tab. If you are in a family group, select your number first.

Between this month and last month i'm at 2500. I think it's kinda low tbh, for me anyway...

I dont have an iPhone but i text in upwards of 3500 a month no t9,all multi tap. Maybe only 75 voice minutes a month.

I can't imagine doing 2500 texts a month. Aalmost 100 a day? I just don't get it. I guess it's like my wife who used to get texts out of the blue from one of her friends that just said crap like "I'm on a bus and it's hot" or "I had a sandwich for lunch". Like did that really require a text? She had to finally tell her to stop wasting her texts with that crap.

Yeah, I'm in the 1-200 category. I probably send and receive about 100 a month, if that. I guess I just don't have that much to say.

Well i HATE talking on the phone to friends. I don't know why, but i just like texting instead. When i'm on the phone i feel like whoever is by me can listen in.

I do 500-1000 a month.
Not that much considering I am a teenager, quite a few of my friends do upwards of 3000 a month.
And I don't have a iPhone

I don't know.. I send/receive over 200, but I'm not sure. My bill hasn't posted for the cycle that ended 2 days ago yet.... so I'll have to wait on that.. I've used 1550 in the past (that was my max ever, I think).. and that was only because I was texting a friend and helping him with homework over text. :)

For me, it is around 200-500. This past month, my family (me, wife, teenage daughter) used 3,800 text messages. Guess who used the most!;)

I don't text much due to AIM. Even when I want to text a friends phone, I do it over AIM. texting will slowly drift away, I think (kinda like mms. Oh yea I said it! Bring on the lashes, heh)

i used to only do about 200-500 but when facebook cam eup i added the mobile app and now i use it alooooot to comunicate with my family and friends from diferent countries its just so much cheaper than long distance text messaging and emailing thru your phone.

I've got the 200/mo plan and I have to pay attention so I don't go over. On my Verizon plan I had 250/mo and it was perfect; I would be just under every month with my normal texting practices. But I don't want to pay another $10 to bump up to the next text plan, which is what, 1500/mo?

I worked in Singapore for 8 years up till last October and I averaged about 1,500 a month. Back in the States, I still am more of a texter than a caller but the number has dropped a little.

In the US does recievieng a text message count as part of tyour usage allowance?

Anyway I send about 4 a day. And even with that low a number I get frustrated at the basic dictionary that apple provides, why no add to dictionary option, and no matter how many times I type UK it always want to change it to I'm.

I text way too much every month. I text over 3,000 times a month on average. I can't believe it.

I loathe texting as a form of communication. I do maybe 30 a month, mostly for, what I consider, appropriate communications like, I'm running a few minutes late or OMFG BBQ!111.

I use it only when I cannot phone someone (knowing it will annoy), when people need to get something "in writing" (address etc), or when telling I'm running late or to inform more than one of my collegues something very short and factual that does not require them to respond.
So, 40-60 I think, counting those multiple receivers.

1000, 2000, 3000 SMS's a month? Don't people have things to do? Don't people have a life to live instead of "reporting" it? I'm serious, I'm a journalist and I like to report what's going on, but text chatter? Man, I really don't get it. To me it sounds like a crutch used in order to avoid being present.

I've sent about 3 in my entire life and that was before I had an Iphone. I guess I just don't understand the texting thing, maybe I'm just too old (38)
