Ok this is REALLY starting to piss me off... Here's my issue:
you know how sometimes u want to go back to an earlier part of a message you are typing without erasing? Well, I try to do that all the time. Used to be no problem, I would just hit in the general area I wanted to go back to and then fine tune it by holding down and adjusting with the magnifying glass. Problem is, after 3.0, just tapping brings up the "select|copy|paste" line. That line gets in the way and makes it very difficult to fine tune where u want to tap. It's really pissing me off. Does anyone else have this problem? And if so, I believe apple should update it to make you need to do something else to bring up the copy/paste/select line (double tap, two finger hold, SOMETHING). Who agrees? Or does anyone have a solution to this??

I tap then hold and move to the point where I want to fine tune, no
complaints here. I was waiting eagerly for that copy paste menu.

Same here. When I tap and hold, I move the magnifier to where I want it. Only then does the copy menu appear. As soon as you start to edit your text the menu goes away. I know that tapping a specific area of text doesn't move the cursur there anymore, but just holding down and quickly moving the magnifier around is a really quick way to navigate the text you want to edit.
