iPhone 14 Pro Max Texting yourself (via iMessage) not working?

Just got the iPhone Pro 14 Max - all software updates are installed and I just noticed when texting myself (it’s being sent as a text message, not iMessage)

Anyone else experiencing this? If so, any idea how to fix?
 
I texted myself and the bubble was green. Don’t know how to fix it though. My phone is updated too.
 
I think it’s something Apple still needs to fix with an update. The last update was supposed to fix it.

Never tried that. I have work Apple ID and a personal Apple ID, and I also send texts back and forth between those (i.e. myself) as handoff doesn't always work due to corporate MDM.
 
I responded to a text my neice sent me, and it was an iMessage. So, I guess it’s ok now. It wasn’t really a concern for me anyway. My niece and I are the only ones that have iPhones in the family.
 
This is something I've never thought of doing. Interesting. I can see it being useful. Yeah, scheduling appointments and doing reminders is always a chore.
 
I text myself all the time. Before the 14 Pro Max I was using a 12 Pro Max and encountered the same problem on both phones. Thing is, On my iPad, I get the blue bubble when texting myself. Go figure!?
