iPod touch textPlus alert sound changeable?

Hi, I am using an ipod touch with the app textPlus. Everytime i get an SMS, I hear a kissy sound as the alert/sound. Is there any way to change this?

My name's Jason and I'm the product designer for textPlus. Sorry to hear you're not a fan of the alert sound -- We always thought of it as more of a "pop" than a "kissy" sound 😉

There is currently no way to change the alert sound for Push Notifications in textPlus. In the future, however, we will be rolling out additional customization options, including sounds.

Even worse

TextPlus keeps resetting the sound back to that annoying ring despite selecting other tones. I have reset the device, checked to make sure I only have one copy and have reinstalled it twice. As soon as you open the convo window the sound defaults back. Any suggestions?
