Can anyone help me get page margins / soft wrapping working?

I basically have a bunch of code going over the right hand side white page margin in text wrangler.

Normally you would expect that code to wrap to the line below. I have soft wrapping enabled but it doesn't seem to make the code break onto the line below.

Whatever i do i cannot

- get the editor to wrap the text onto the line below
- get the editor to increase the right margin of the page so it isn't so narrow

Thank you

From the Edit menu, choose Text Options. Try the options here for setting soft wrap and where to wrap at, e.g., window, set width, or page guide.

Thank you, that did stop the text from crossing the right hand margin into the grey area.

I just wish i could increase the right hand margin so the white document part was much wider.

Seems a bit crazy not to be able to do that.

The closest thing I can think of to get more space over there would be to setup a Page Guide to a certain width, then just keep the window to a width that leaves a margin to your liking. This isn't as dynamic though if you resize the window a lot.

The Page Guide can be set from Preferences > Text Status Display > then there's a textfield to set the width. If the page guide area is too dark you can adjust it from the Text Colors section of the Preferences.
