So, its finally here for mac!! Here's a tip for all you bootcampers. If you have the game installed on your Windows side you can copy the TF2 .gcf files over (they are exactly the same) and save you a lot of time downloading!!

All I'm waiting for is counter strike source!!!

go into your drives, should be on your desktop by default when you make a new partition.

or use a usb drive to copy and paste the file

sorry for the lack of detail about the files, this should help:

You can find you files here:

    [Mac's volume] /Users/******/Documents/Steam Content
    [Windows volume] /Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps

Copy the following files to your Mac's Steam Content folder:

    team fortress 2 client content.gcf
    team fortress 2 materials.gcf
    team fortress 2 content.gcf

If you do not have Portal or Half-Life 2 on your Mac, you'll want to copy these files:

    source sounds.gcf
    source models.gcf
    source materials.gcf
    source 2007 shared sounds.gcf
    source 2007 shared models.gcf
    source 2007 shared materials.gcf

This should save you a massive amount of time when downloading!! Hope it helps!!
