TF2 Pyro pack

    First of all - Ruddy nora I love Valve.

    Secondly - how's everyone doing with the new pyro pack? I've had a lot on and only managed to play it last night, already unlocked the backburner and the flare gun and they're mega awesome new weapons. Unlocked about half of the achievements by playing around in the Pyrobox map. :eek: It kinda broke my stats too.
    Haven't tried out the new maps yet, they any good? Hoping that the map from "Meet the Sniper" is in there, TF2 needs some sniper towers :cool:

    I haven't particularly enjoyed playing since the pyro pack went in. I know it'll die down, but all I've seen on the servers is people trying to get the achievements, and not playing the game. Makes sense why they have the pyro map - I'd rather people do it there, then not in game. Though, in the end everyone's stats end up getting broken.

    Hating it right now. Every game I get into = Pyro rape. Why did they bump the hit points of the pyro. Seemed to totally unneccesary and makes the Pyro rape worse.

    I use multiplay.co.uk's servers and they've applied a 3 pyro limit to their fleet of games. It's pretty useful actually since everyone wants to be a pyro around now. The times I can't be one (I'm not a faddy one either, it's one of my fave classes) I find a well placed SG works wonders. And since your team will likely be full of pyros too it'll make it harder for spies to plant sappers on buildings :)

    Unlocked the Axetinguisher, it's pretty awesome but nowhere near as functional as the Flare Gun.

    The pyro really needed an update. It was way too easy to die as one before and they were absolutely useless in open areas.

    Seriously, Pyros were the only class that you could really label as "bad" before. It wasn't impossible, but they were useless in competitive play, where all the Medics(and players for that matter) know what they're doing.

    I mainly play Medic nowadays, was originally a Pyro player though. I haven't gotten any of the unlockables for Medic yet, how do they work? Achievements I understand but are there specific ones you unlock, or just a certain number? Seems like some of the achievements for Pyro require you to use the unlockable items, which is confusing.

    Also most of the achievements flat out don't look like any fun to get. I don't want to bonesaw or axe people. I'm not an Xbox 360 gamer for a reason... :(

    The Medic ones are really tough to get, Valve listened to us and made the pyros easy. I've only been playing the pyro update for a few hours today and I'm already at ~83%, I'm not even that good with the pyro!

    You unlock the weapons for every "milestone" achieved. I can't remember the medics at all but the pyros unlocks are at 10, 15 and 20 achievements. Flare gun, backburner and axe (in that order, IIRC). Don't think I'll be getting any more achievements for a while now... Some are going to take a long time to get.
