Oh wow, color me surprised: I'd basically ignored the previous unstable TFF Intel ports in favour of OlgaTPark's TenSixFox releases, but I'll definitely have to check this out again, especially since those ports are forked from older TFF code.

Between this, IceWeasel, FX Legacy, and SpiderWeb there's a veritable avalanche of web browsers for retro Intel Mac users! :D

There is so much activity in that space there needs to be a retro Intel Mac user forum. Thanks for giving it a name.

Don't forget @wicknix 's InterWeb for 10.6 as well. I'm now using that in preference to TFF Intel ;)

Edit, I looked for a link and found he's taken it down, but it works fine on my iMac C2D.

Cheers :)

Yeah, i got reports of broken (frozen or non responsive) prefs pane. So i tested it on a spare machine and sure enough, no ability to use 80% of the prefs. So i removed it until it's fixed. If your copy works for you, great. Until then, SpiderWeb is 100% functional.

Cheers

That link above no longer works. :( Anyone know where TFF Intel (the complete application) can be downloaded from?.

Original post edited to reflect correct link.

The download at the top of the list will be the most recent release.

Cheers :)

Hugh

I've got it now thanks, and it's working fine in the 10.6.8 VM. :) One thing I'm not sure about - which is newer, TFF or ArcticF?

It's hard to make a direct comparison since they're two quite different codebases. ArcticFox is a fork of Pale Moon 27 - and PM itself started as a fork of Firefox 24 ESR. TFF was forked from Firefox 45 ESR. But while they branched off from Firefox at separate times, they've both been actively maintained, developed and updated (up until now).
