You all have set my expectations SO LOW that I am pretty impressed by the speed of edge at my house.

I have no complaints about this phone now and many of you had me so worked up over the edge connection.

So thank you for making me happy about edge.

Agreed, definitely tolerable! My Treo browsing is painful, and it's not a "real" browser. I was even streaming Youtube with Edge, no problem.

Would still be great to have 3G, but this is still pretty sweet.

I'm posting from edge on my iphone now and it iis perfectly fine... In fact it is magnificent!

the coffee shop i frequent offers wifi, but it's so intolerably slow my iphone chose to use edge instead. page loading was fine, i just had to avoid sites with a lot of rich content.

I have like 25 megs of received EDGE traffic.

Those numbers indicate you have barely used edge at alll. 🙂

I checked three times in a row this morning.

Speed ranged from 163-168 kbps.
Very pleased, MUCH faster than my Pearl.
Not sure if the network has improved or the HW/SW is more efficient.
