I just got a job with Apple retail at the Mall of GA store (if you're ever near, stop in and say hi), so I won't be posting here after Thursday (so I can respond to the thread).

I just wanted to say thanks to Arn and the "mods & gods" as well as the members of MR for making this such a great place. It's been a fun ride.

I'll still be hanging around and reading the latest rumors, watching the Steve-notes and responding to PM's I might get, just not posting.

Thanks

jdechko

eat any apples other than Macintosh.

Haha, nice one. They dont want to risk there reputation in any way, even a positive way so that people dont think they are just saying how great they are. Also they dont want product releases posted for obviuos reasons. Congratulations man, good luck with this honored experience.

Definitely stop by.

I found out about the store back in July and went and applied, but never heard back.

I didn't actually realize that it had opened until I was there 2 weekends ago. I ended up spending a couple of hours in the store, and it's not even that big. I spent about 45 min just playing on an iPhone (first time ever). I was surprised that the phones even had cell service! Made a phone call to my wife (then deleted the numbers).

But I got to talking with one of the Mac Specialists and mentioned to him that I'd applied, but never got contacted. He said they were still hiring, so he talked to the assistant manager, who then came and talked to me. I had an interview the next night (Sunday night, how weird is that). I went through the background check process and waited some more. Then yesterday I finally got a call from the manager. Training is Friday. :D:D:D

Hope I get to work the Leopard launch - that would be sweet.
