That stupid notch at the top. Dealbreaker?

Is that notch at the top of the iPhone X a deal-breaker for anyone else? I really wanted to get an iPhone X but I'm OCD and that notch would DRIVE ME CRAZY. It's something that will almost certainly be gone or greatly minimized in next year's gen 2 device and is just really ugly to look at.

The notch is about half the width of an app icon. Not a big deal.

No, because 99% of the time anything from the base of the notch up will only contain status bar info and no real content whatsoever.

Just kidding. I don't really know, and won't until I actually get to use one. I'm willing to try the phone out. But I'm not going to be shocked if I decide to exchange it for an iPhone 8 Plus. I hope I won't but this is such a big change after a few years with the iPhone 6 Plus form factor, so it's hard to predict how well I'll take to it.

I can't believe full-screen videos aren't cut around the notch. So when you're watching a full-screen video, the notch is literally blocking part of the video.

With the amount of sensors, I would rather have a fully functional phone, rather than focus on aesthetics. I am an Engineer so maybe, I am more keen on functionality over form.

iPhone X doesn’t have as many landscape options like the Plus size iPhones do. Treat it more like a 6/7/8. So mostly a non issue.

The notch only intrudes on video if you zoom in.
