Thanks for all the replies! I enjoy reading about other users’ choices, the reasoning behind them and how pleased you are with your choice afterwards.
It seems, judging from the poll, that the Pacific blue and the Graphite, are the most popular choices this year.
This comes as no surprise, as I own them both, and can safely say that they are both gorgeous in their own way.
The graphite iPhone is really classy, elegant and goes with just about any case. It doesn’t stand out in any way, but blends in with whatever accessories you wear with it. Timeless, though maybe a little boring. But, put it in the black leather case, and you look like a boss.
The pacific blue on the other hand, stands out in the crowd. It shows that you have the newest iPhone on the market (if that matters to you) and looks way more cool/trendy than the other colors. Some people have pointed out that it’s not as timeless, and will look very much like “last year” when a new iPhone is released. Maybe so, but if you’re the kind of person who gets a new phone every year, it really doesn’t matter.
The pacific blue iPhone has a very special color/tint to it, that can make it look anything from greyish to dark blue (with the edges almost looking black) and bright blue, depending on the lighting.
It might be harder to match with cases, as the color around the camera has a very special tone of blue. But I’ve found that it works better with different cases than I initially thought.
The truth is that it looks absolutely best without a case, and so I tend to only put a case on it when it’s really needed.
This is the kind of phone that I find myself staring at, simply because of how good it looks. And every time I put it aside, to switch to the graphite, I almost always regret my decision before the setup process is even finished on my graphite phone. There’s something about the blue that just keeps drawing me back to it.
Be aware that Apple offers no other products in the Pacific blue color, so if you’re the kind of person who needs to have every device matching color wise, you’re gonna have a problem. I am a little disappointed that Apple doesn’t offer an iPad Pro or at least an Apple Watch in pacific blue.
Fortunately, blue goes with both gray/black and silver/white, so I think you’ll be ok.
With all this said, I still understand those of you who have picked up the silver or gold iPhones too. I’ve seen them both in person, and they look really great too.
That gold iPhone looks every bit as expensive as it is. The gold on the sides makes it look like a bar of gold, but to me it’s a little bit too “flashy”.
And the silver is so elegant. I would expect it to fit a wide selection of cases, and look really light and bright for use in summer.
If I could’ve justified getting another iPhone, I would have picked up the silver one.
Like the blue, there’s something that just keeps pulling me towards it.
So, if there is anybody else who want to share their choice and experiences with it, please post it here 😊
