I was adamant. Not upgrading. My 13 Pro is fine. I convinced myself that the Series 16 Pro was lacking , or 8Gb was not going to be enough etc etc.
even thought I might switch to a Pixel…
So what changed.
I went to see them in person. Felt one in the hand. And the 16 Pro Max honestly impressed me the most. Lighter than I expected , & the huge screen was lovely. The Dynamic Island seemed noticeably smaller than my current notch. I liked the 16 Plus too.. but immediately noticed the 60hz using the browser.
If the AI gets constrained in a couple of years or so due to not enough ram, then can always trade in again, although at this point I don’t really think I will be a big AI user.
I also checked out the pixel 9 Pros in person and their watch. Quite unique design with a super bright screen (more so than the iPhones) but then I used it. Alien UI to me. Confusing. The watch was nice enough but the overall cost of switching probably yielded nothing much in return.
So an iPhone 16 PM it is. Looks like ordering is about 3-4 weeks now in the UK for a natural titanium model. Or might get lucky with a pick up. Will check regularly.
