Whilst constantly checking my pre orders I got to thinking about the people who bought the Yellow and Rose gold v1 of Watch and wondered if Apple were offering a upgrade to V2 internals, you would think when spending that much money there would be an option for a hw upgrade.

Just thinking while waiting for phone and watch pre orders.

NO and to 1%ers $17,000 is more like $50 to me. So most actually spent less relative and probably spent as much money buying purses and suits that same day that are no longer used. Stop worrying about the ultra rich. Most don't care in the least about the cost or you.

Nope. This is a common misconception that many people have. They're wealthy enough that they can easily spend $30,000 during a shopping spree on a lazy weekday and think nothing of it. People who save up their hard earned money for several years to invest in a $17,000 Rolex, Patek, etc. are not the type of customers that buy the Edition.

Only Editions I ever saw were the ones 'celebrities' were photographed with; and I assumed were given out for promotion, as they seem to get many things for free just to be seen using it. and maybe some foreign buyers.

i saw one on a guy here in china last may.

i also saw the same model sitting in a shop and dropping to below 25% of the original price over that time. it got so cheap i almost considered it. if only i didn't have a family to support...
