it will work just fine....

looks like the monitor has a DVI-D, and 2 HDMI so you can get mDP > HDMI or DVI

you will see no difference in either HDMI or DVI. HDMI=DVI with the option to run audio through the same connection (if both display/source support it)

so, if i bought this : http://bit.ly/mBsXMv it will work fine ?
and this thunderbolt thing not going to disturb ?

why would thunderbolt mess it up?

Yes, that will work fine...
so will this:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=5106&seq=1&format=2
or this:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=5311&seq=1&format=2
and they are much cheaper.

RE the second part of the post:

discounteggroll said hdmi is the same as dvi it just also includes audio (which is correct). I was saying buying a mDP>HDMI adapter VS buying an mDP>DVI adapter is not going to give you audio through your HDMI cable, you would have to buy a connector like this:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=5969&seq=1&format=2
or this:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=6331&seq=1&format=2
to get audio and video over HDMI. (This isn't really relevant for you because your monitor doesn't have built in speakers anyways, this is more for people looking to hook their mbp up to their tv and want audio through their hdmi cable)

Hopefully that clarifies it for you :D
