The only thing I really would like added to the remote would be TouchID on the middle button. I hate typing in my passwords on this thing.

Surely you use your iPhone or tablet ( if you have them ) to enter passwords in? I pretty much only use my phone / watch / Siri for the apple TVs.

I am surprised they don't use a motion control remote like the LGs

Or Apple will just make it thicker and bigger so it'll be harder to misplace/lose. 🤷‍♂️ Shouldn't be too difficult now that Jony Ive is gone. 😛

The slim marginal help from a finger groove, on top of which not all hands are created equal in size.

I have a rubber case for my Apple Remote. Possibly the best. Because I drop it in the keep damaging the glass (previously) & metal, and fluorescent for easy finding when the family misplaces it…. ALL FHE TIME

I've had every version of Apple TV. That said they all have been "good enough". They get the job done. The remotes have sucked every single time, garbage. The user interface looks apple and looks great but is just weird. In trying to make it simple it is weird and complex and typing to search is garbage and voice activating search you never know what you'll get the actual in-app search you want, or the search of the whole Apple system that pops up at the bottom. The goofy touch interface that lags sucks. I fumble around using this crap remote, with lagging, weird, interface and keep going because it is all I have and I am a slave to the Apple system. End of old man rant.
