Shame they did not have Ronaldo they could have called upon to help lol.
The biggest problem with C Ronaldo was that, while he scored often, the team scored less as a whole over the course of the season with him in the side.

So, for example, in today’s match he might have scored a winner - OR Man Utd might have lost 1-0.

Nah, Ronaldo wouldn't have helped today. Too much sloppiness and bad decisions in the second half, ETH's changes didn't stabilize things, the ref was awful — just not United's day.

Without Casemiro, beating Arsenal away is a tall task, indeed. All the talk of challenging for a title after the win against city last weekend was way premature. Still a lot of work to do to make the top 4.

Looks like we are getting Danny Inngs. But losing Antonio maybe. Tough time to be a hammer.
Ings is injury prone and I doubt you'll get 90 minutes out of him with any regularity. But his strike rate is still good and he should be productive as an impact sub. Assuming he stays healthy.

Leandro Trossard to Arsenal. That's a good signing there, and the price is right.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is still dumping money on random players left and right, adding Noni Madueke from PSV because they clearly need yet another winger. £190m in this window alone and £460m in total since Todd Boehly took over. Madness.

They are still operating on the Abramovich model, but I question whether they really have the funds to sustain that, and whether the 'managed chaos' approach will work going forward.

Danny Ings is a real hit-and-miss character.
Works hard, but is plagued with niggly injuries and doesn't give you a full season of his best as a result.
There was talk of him coming back to Saints, but I don't think the club or the fans would want him back, for all the reasons listed above.

Dont think Everton hierarchy wants to get rid of Lampard. Only fans can force their hand which was pretty evident last weekend.
I don't understand how he is still employed there. He was promoted way above his experience level and between himself and the ownership they've managed to do very little with a lot of resources.

Tbf they're running out of mangers to bring. Ancelotti, Benitez, Martinez, Allardyce, Koeman etc. Probably resigned to going down and starting again.

Maybe Chelsea will keep stuttering and they can bring in Graham Potter.

I blame the owner for the most part. By all accounts he has meddled in many decisions far outside his experience, with predictable results. Being willing to spend money does not make up for incompetence in club management.

Totally agree. Decent cup run and taking Derby to championship playoff finals doesn’t make you Premier League quality manager.

He’s had no experience working under top managers and learning the graft properly.

I think he is too nicey nice to be a PL manager.

@Apple fanboy this made me chuckle.

Pochettino still available.
Poch is likely heading to West Ham. It's the most sensible option for him. They are willing to spend money, want attractive football and its London.

Potter will likely get another season as crazy as it sounds.

The SIGN INGS joke never gets old. I remember hearing it when he went to Liverpool.

I don't see Rice going anywhere but Chelsea. He grew up a Chelsea fan and I can't see Arsenal stumping for West Ham's inevitably sky high asking price. Chelsea also need him a lot more than Arsenal do, as their DM options are old, past it, and injured.

It'll be some financial disaster if Chelsea fail to make the top 4 after all that spending. They have a lot of ground to make up and I have a hard time seeing all those new signings integrating in a cohesive way, especially since all that spending didn't address their glaring need for a CDM or a CF.

Meanwhile at the Etihad, Spurs score two quickfire goals before half time! Rodri played a key part in conceding both.
