Champions League? That could be tricky anyone want to pick a winner?
Too early in the season (for me) to do so.
For Harry Kane I would love to say Bayern Munich but I don't think so. Is it Jude's year at Real Madrid? I would like to see that also.
Good luck to Harry Kane.

For my part, I shall rest content with succeeding in qualifying for next season's Champions League.

I will be back home in the Philippines before any of this unfolds with my wonderful wife and three amazing daughters so I will let all this football play itself out without having to attend any excruciating games at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium thank goodness!

Jennifer Hermoso, the player in Spain that was the victim in the "kiss-scandal" did the only goal against Italy in #NationsLeague group A4, same as Sweden, in the 89th minute

It would have been better for us if it had been 0-0 in that game 😏
But very good for Hermoso 👍🏼 to be back doing what she loves to do, instead of being abused of weird men, as in the Rubiales story.

Journalists are reporting that we're now under embargo for not paying taxes and it's confirmed on the EFL website.

Strange that our owner sacks the manager and brings in all new backroom staff and then this happens immediately after, maybe he just doesn't want to spend anything on players in January?

And he won't have to now...

That's fun, right?

What that woman has been through is nothing short of disgraceful. So good to see her returning to the national team in such style.

Could be worse. Could be a points deduction.

What about your daughters?

Have none of them an interest in football?

It is not only sons that can suppport football teams, and can be encouraged to do so by their fathers, you know.
Well the 33 year old is a qualified physiotherapist and her sole interest in football is to get a job in the treatment room at an EPL club. Preferably Chelsea as it is the closest to where she lives. I suspect it could also be for husband hunting!

The 13 year old would be hugely interested in football....................if it was played by cats. She loooooves cats and our pet is so spoiled.

The 9 year old is a girlie girl. Into ballet no interest in football at all.

The 2 year old is my best chance of nurturing an Alessia Russo. She loves to kick a ball around but don't they all at that age.

Suffice to say the only football related comments I get from the older ones is 'did they lose again today dad'. Grrrrrr

Well I am going to enjoy Match of the Day tonight and tomorrow. No one can knock us off the top and there might even be some interesting results. The Manchester derby?

Unfortunately Arsenal are not likely to lose at home to Sheffield United they are 1-0 up already.

this Burnley v Bourmouth match is a fun one!
they are both playing well

and

the announcers actually care as well as know the player's names who are on the pitch!
this sports announcing professionalism is rare nowadays....
i'm I in the 2010s?

Enjoy it; I remember a similar feeling (akin to an almost illicit thrill) last season when Arsenal led the table for most of the season.
The Manchester derby?
That should be interesting.

A happy Gunner here.

A 5-0 nil victory is nice, and helpful adding to credit on the goal difference part of the table.

5-0 gosh. Good for you. Not so good for Sheffield Utd. I’m expecting a change of leadership very soon.

Not really the fault of the manager that the team (who have been beset by a crippling series of injuries in an already threadbare team) are outgunned, and outclassed and outfought at a level that is beyond what they are able to compete against this season.

Good also in the absence (on account of a hamstring injury, he'll be out for a few weeks at the very least, methinks) of Gabriel Jesus.

Nketiah scored a hat-trick, - which was excellent - but other games will present a far greater challenge.

In fairness to Sheffield United, losing (when an already weak team is further weakened by injuries to key players), it is no shame to lose to Arsenal, or any of the other teams lying close to the top of the table; a far fairer examination of Sheffield United is to take a look at how they fare against other teams that may also be threatened by relegation.

Agreed. But 1 point from 10 games is a terrible record. As my Derby supporting colleague said of Sheffield Utd, he’s concerned their worst ever points tally in the PL is under threat.

Indeed. Todays six pointer was won by Bournemouth in the relegation race.

Oh, agreed, it is a terrible record.

And yes, although it is a bit too early to write just yet about likely candidates for relegation, and all too easy to blithely write off recently promoted teams, I do think that, firstly, Sheffield United are a serious candidate (already) for relegation - a quarter of the season has now passed, and they have only amassed one point, an appalling record, and secondly, yes, I think your Derby supporting colleague is absolutely correct, as the worst ever points tally (amassed by Derby, if memory serves) appears to be under serious threat.

It was Derby with 11 points and a GD of -69! Not a good record at all. But with 1 point from 10, Sheffield won’t even get close to that on current form.

Five points up on Man City at the beginning of April last year I think and still Arsenal lost the title. The end of the season is brutal with injuries. I just don't see anyone challenging Man City the strength in depth is just too much
