He did not request the cleanest one. He stated he wished he messaged the seller and asked for the cleanest one.
Read that wrong, yes you're right
Guess it was just the luck of the draw then.

These are all working Apple MacBook laptop units with normal cosmetic wear. They have all been tested and everything works.
The images show what most of the laptops look like. They may have scuffs and stains, but nothing too major. Some will have a horizontal line across the screen caused by the keyboard (keyboard marks).
The hinges are strong and hold the screen firmly, but may have light cracks at the corners. The battery holds a normal charge.
I would leave negative/neutral feedback and state these problems, because the listings do state that the wear and tear was going to be normal and nothing like what people are posting here.
I'm glad I didn't get one now.
I hadn't noticed that. "The battery holds a normal charge." I need to contact the seller about this, and also mention the backlight bleed.

What are you going to use the G4 for, wondering if i should buy one.
I think that the auction is ended. Those G4s really are useful in light web browsing, social chat (Adium and iChat, etc.), office work, email, etc.
That Sony ILCE-7 is nuts BTW. Bet it's amazing on the iMac.
Normal charge to some is 30 minutes. You would need to find out first what he defines as a normal charge. I bet that the seller looked and saw that Coconut Battery or OS X reported it as a good battery with at least 2 hours of charge and it probably has dead cells.
Oh, i guess ill just my 2010 MacBook Pro as a g4

^ can he return it? or exchange.
They are great light machines. I have a 15" model and love everything about it. Just something about these older Macs make them awesome to use.

For me it's the Aqua look of Tiger and Leopard. I'm on Yosemite almost full time now which makes that a refreshing change.

I do not hate Yosemite by any means, but going back to Tiger is refreshing. It is simple and focuses on function.
I know, i wish i had got one just to keep. The only problem is that my mid 2010 mac doesn't really like to work. Glad to know most of apple products last really long. How long do you think a 2013 retina will last? 2030?
They don't beachball as much as the newer Macs do. That is something I actually noticed. My MacBook Pro does it all the time.
There is no set date that these machines will die. I have Macs dating back to 1999 without issues and I have had machines from 2005 die completely (LCS failure). What is going on with your mid-2010 Mac?
Well around last year it started shutting off and my super drive would fail. Took it to apple and they said it would cost over 600+ (including keyboard repair). My warranty was expired so i just went ahead and bought the 15" retina and its working great. Like i have a 2004 i mac and it runs good
"It's pretty much dead, when I unplug it the laptop goes off instantly."
My bad, it holds a charge of about 2-3 seconds. Still wouldn't call that normal.
Was there any liquid damage?
No, dropped it and made a small dent, but apple replaced that for free. Also they replaced the keyboard for free too
