I might get some hate for this, but . . .

I initially couldn't decide on colour at all. By the time I finally decided to at least commit to buying an 11 Pro of some colour, the only option available for launch day was Silver, so I went with that.

A few days later, I read that Amazon had plenty of launch day inventory and I ordered a Midnight Green.

Both arrived early on launch day. I hated the Midnight Green immediately. It's mostly a meh grey. Easy call to send it back.

The Silver was a tougher call. The stainless steel casing does look very good — you could believe it was actual silver. But the back just seemed a bit boring. For £1,149 I want to be positively excited about my phone.

So back to Amazon I went, and I've now ordered a Gold. I've seen some pictures posted on these forums of the Gold and I think it may look really great in real life — certainly much better than the iPhone 8+ that I had in Gold — the case is aluminium so the edging is a cheap-looking matte metallic gold (which looked pink in some light) and the back was a weird creamy gold colour I never really got into.

Looking at Apple's case options, the only safe colour for cases seems to be Silver. The other phone colours seem to clash quite horribly with a lot of the case colour options. So if I don't love the Gold, I might stick with the Silver and get a case. I prefer my phones naked, but a case isn't a terrible idea with a phone this expensive.

Are you happy with the colour you chose for your iPhone 11 Pro? (Assuming you've got it now.) Was it an easy call to choose the colour you chose?

I picked silver and I love it. I do think the grey looks nice too. I'm not sure about green or gold; I'd have to see them in person. I had gold last time and felt it was kind of drab, but this year's may look nicer.

I like how the silver looks clean and pearly. It reminds me of a 2001 Space Odyssey aesthetic, and the cameras stand out.

Looked at all the colors at the store. Glad I’m not getting the Pro cause it’s a tough decision. All the colors look great so I wouldn’t know which to choose. If I had to choose one, it may be the silver one.

get green because it's the exclusive color for this year's model. (all other colors were available in previous iphone models). that's how i always distinguish, i dont care what looks good (but luckily they always do), i care for the "oohs and ahhs" of people wanting to see the new color.

take your green outside under the sun. i really like it under the sun.

also i'd rather be caught with midnight green phone with a white case rather than a white phone with a green case.

I always thought the XS gold colour looked like a silver iPhone which had been used by a smoker for a few years. I know loads of people who loved it, but it just didn’t do it for me. The only iPhone I’ve liked in gold is the 5s/SE, though I’m yet to see the 11 in person. In photos, the matte back looks better than the XS.

I’m still torn between MG and silver - I think once the ‘newness’ of the green wears off, I’d regret not getting silver as it seems pretty timeless. Need to go into a shop and see them all in person. I wish they made a red one, that would make my choice a lot easier!

Never understood how people can call silver boring, but then by deduction something like gray or gold is...exciting?

The silver is so clean and modern, not to mention, the sides don't feel like rubber like they do on all the PVD coated phones. Maybe some people like the grip afforded by that, but it feels gross and rubbery in the hand to me. I'll take clean, cold, slick stainless and silver every time.

Oh the agony...I've always went with Space Gray every year and this year is no different than last year. I prefer more Black but Space Gray is close enough for me.

Got space grey but when i went into the apple store i preferred green but i cba to return it. I hardly look at the back of the phone plus its in a case so im sure ill get over it

I saw the phones today in the store and I was disappointed by how similar the green and space gray looked. I thought the green would be more green. Since it's not, I kind of ruled it out. I think gold will be my choice. I've had two gold phones before (5S & 6S) but I've never had one of these shiny gold phones since I have the red iPhone 8. I don't want to get the new color just to get the new color.

Always black. Space Gray in the years Apple doesn't offer black.

Not really agony if you know what you like and prefer to stick with it. I get accused of always doing or getting the same thing over and over. But at least I know what I like and prefer and don't suffer being paralyzed by choice.

I don't understand how people get worked up like this, and worse still why they'd then choose to share it.

If you know that you're indecisive then wait (ffs!) and look at them all side by side in a physical store - pick one & take some responsibility.

Thousands upon thousands of man-hours have been unnecessarily wasted making, packing & shipping (multiple times) handsets for people to play with for five minutes & return. Does my nut.

I like all except gold. Never liked gold. My iPhone X was silver and I had a clear Speck case on it. Looked great. But for my Max Pro I opted for space gray. I like it but the midnight green is nice but to me it just looks space gray because if my vision.

and I put a black Speck Presidio Pro on my Max....uhhhh Pro. I know many like going careless but I like using a case. So in the case it makes no difference.

This happens because people do not wish to delay the gratification of owning the device as soon as they can get it, yet they have no idea what they really like or prefer.

My wife often has a hard time choosing between white and off-white so from that perspective I get it. But at least she agonizes before making a purchase and sticks with her choice afterwards.

Green next to grey. They are both beautiful.

If ever in doubt I don’t think you can go wrong with Space Grey. It’s always been my go to choice since the older phones, as I always wanted the black breezes over the white ones so my only option was Space Grey.

But I do think it looks really classy on my new Pro.

The gold is beautiful, not brash at all. I would call it a champagne gold.

To me, the silver looks white, and I never liked the white phones.

I’ve always chosen black or gray, but last year I got rose gold (Xs Max) and this year I went with the green. I love it so much I got a clear slim case for it.

Here it is without case, fluorescent lighting in my kitchen. I love how it shifts colors depending on environment. And it looks amazing in direct sun.
