iPhone Air The Air is just plain awesome

That may be the case, but it still stands that in many ways Android has surpassed iOS in terms of features. Not everywhere for sure and iOS is cleaner; but Android has come a long long way from its early days of being a complete mess.
I definitely would use it without a case…but 2 kids under 6 years old make it tricky.
I got a nice case from Amazon that keeps the slim factor.
I am, it’s too nice and defeats the object of having an Air to wrap it in a thick rubber/PU/leather case.
I’m really enjoying having a svelte iPhone again, reminds of the iPhone X, which I still have as an emergency backup but too clunky to use as an everyday phone now sadly.

I use mine caseless - no way I'd put a case on this gorgeous phone. To be honest though I haven't used a case on a phone in over a decade.
I use mine with the Apple frost case. I can still enjoy the beauty and lightness of the phone without worrying about scratches on the titanium edge or camera bump. I know, it's just a phone, a tool, but I like to keep my devices as pristine as possible - for Me, not for resale.

Makes no sense.
Life is too short to deal with getting a screen or back replaced when a simple thin case would have prevented it.
Curious. Is getting a screen or back replaced that difficult if you have Apple Care, does anybody have real world experience? Never had Apple hence why I’m asking
If you have AppleCare, you’re still headed to the Apple Store — and could be at least a two-to-three-hour ordeal once you factor in travel and wait time. Even with an express replacement, you’ll still be waiting for delivery, setting up a full transfer, and mailing back the broken one. Either way, you’re spending hours fixing something that a cheap case could’ve prevented.
Owning a case is like wearing a seatbelt. Having AppleCare is like having insurance. Both are important.
I have a 13 mini that, like my previous phones, I use without a case.
I must have dropped it hundreds of times – usually innocuous falls from my pocket while getting it out (or missing my pocket while putting it back – ouch!), sliding off a table, that sort of thing. But also a couple of zingers outside onto concrete, once from a bicycle.
It doesn’t look like new, I’ll grant you that. Corners are scuffed and one is dented (slightly). But the glass on both sides has never broken. Actually, nothing has ever broken.

Thanks for your perspective and analogy though still don’t want a case for Air as it seems quite durable and I simply prefer the Air without a case.
For all other 17 models though I’d get the Arc Pulse.
Lucky I live near an Apple Store so the hassle should be less though I will check with them about lead times for iPhones with Apple Care repairs so thanks for you post !
Totally caseless. Only way for me with this phone. Its too good to out a case on it.
The Apple Store keeps stock on hand for AC+ coverage replacements.
Space black Air here. Completely naked and loving it.
1) it’d be rude to put a case on it as it’s simply to gorgeous to look at and to hold naked with the thinness & premium build.
2) Durability and the Ceramic Shield 2’s scratch resistance is genuinely much better than previous iPhone glass + the anti reflective properties would be ruined.
