Hello,

I had issues with my Airport Extreme 2012 not being able to cover my rather small apartment. There are very thick walls that most likely deny the signal to reach the bedroom with satisfying speeds. Therefore, I purchased a new Time Capsule (with .ac-support), and tried some different setups.

You can see the result here.

I find the results pretty weird. Do you agree?
 
Not that unusual... do you know what channels were being used and if there were any other nearby wireless devices using the same channels?
 
Can you not just get a pair of Ethernet wall plugs and set the second router as an repeater in the bedroom?

I would defo use wall plugs to have the iMac hard wired in.
