sry if theres a tread bout this already.... so i was settin my alarm and i realized that u cant use songs for your alarm now!!!! what happened??? are there goin to be hacks to bring back the old feature in the older ipods>?>?? thx

yea sadly there ain't no settings where you can use your songs as an alarm. i'm really pissed with it too cause i bought my ipod and looking forward to waking up hearing my music through the speakers.

and i haven't heard of any hacks that would do that. :(

god this is pathetic...im sure its not hard to hack...hope someone'll get it soon

Apple's habit of artificially crippling things is starting to get tedious, I have to admit.

If only there was a company who had Apple's skill for user interface innovation *and* were less... well, evil... they'd be onto an absolute killer.

With a bit of luck Google will get there eventually :D

Yeah this has annoyed me also. They never stated that they had removed this feature that the last few iPods have had. I used to use my iPod connected to my iPod Hi-fi as an alarm.

For the time being I've set up Aurora on my iMac since it is in the same room, but I really do hope they add this back as it is ridiculous to remove it.

I've used the feedback form to let my feelings on the matter be known

Unfortunately, the feedback forum responses are remotely dumped to a server in the Caymans and saved for future research into consumer frustration levels.

Hah... Apple intentionally crippling it so you can't listen to music? My god people, we have bigger things to worry about.

You know, some of us prefer waking up to music rather than "beep beep, beep beep" every day.

Here's an idea, if you don't care about it, don't worry about these topics, those of us who use this feature are obviously disappointed that it has been removed.

Either way, do you not think it is daft that a feature from the "basic" models and even the older models is not in the top of the range model?

true....lol we could get a 30 dollar g4 for an alarm! yay! and the freakin 400 buck touch doesnt have it....really hope 3rd party apps come soon
