I just finished watching the new film.
Wow. That was maybe one of the worst films I've ever seen. Ok, forget the fact that the only thing it has in common with it's source material is the name. We'll overlook that for now. How is it, as a stand alone film?
Terrible acting. Really terrible.
Stupid science. The worst kind of technobabble. Lots of magic that they try to explain away with technobabble. Like the fact that someone was looking at the critter and saw that it was made of sulfur. Under a microscope... And wormholes. And OMFG TEH FUTURZ!!11one!
Suspense that wasn't remotely suspenseful.
Horrible special effects. Seriously. You know you are in trouble when you do a remake of a 1971 film, and the 1971 film has better effects.
And cutting off the thumb? Really? What stoned film school dropout thought that one up?
