I am currently learning c and pretty soon will move on to objective c with the aim of making an iphone app.

I have been looking around but need more info on the process as a whole.

What dev tools are free and what do i have to pay for?

How do i incorporate adverts into my apps? What is the monetary situation with ads?

Is it free to get my app in the app store?

Thanks

This question should be addressed to the iPhone forum. I'm confident someone there will answer that:

• Xcode is the primary development tool and is entirely free from Apple;
• for Apple's own iAds, it's about ten lines of code and you'll receive payment through by the same means as regular app payments, however iAds are not yet being served in most territories outside the US;
• you may list on the app store only if you purchase a subscription to the developer programme, which costs approximately whatever US$99 converts to in your currency and runs for a year.

Dev tools are free.

You must pay $99 to get the code signing keys to test your code on any device. This fee also enables you to put apps on the store.
