I plan on purchasing one of these for my new 17" macbook pro once they announce and release those! :)

I'm about to order my apple sac right now. After seeing that Red one in a picture that wasn't taken on white background, it looks a whole lot better. I can't decide original or red. I personally hate the black one.

you cant go wrong with the original! the red is good if your a girl (fashionable): but what do i know :p

good luck on your decision!

I like the new little logo. These are my favorite sleeves.

I had a hemp ColcaSac for my last computer, and now I have a Burlap (original) one for this one.

Finding a sleeve that was environmentally friendly was important to me (neoprene? yikes!) and these look so much more unique and interesting. Plus, they fit well and I love the extra pocket - most sleeves require you to shove your adaptor in with your computer.

Just got my applesac or ColcaSac. It's nice, fits the MacBook real tight. I have a Speck case on it so I'm sure its a little tighter than usual, but I like it. Sheds a little but I'm sure its because its new...
The charger fits in the little pocket just fine.

Is there enough padding between the little pocket and the main compartment to prevent the charger from being smooshed into the macbook?

Nice. I'm really digging the black case. May have to order it. I've been searching around for a sleeve for a while, now, and I'm not really sold on zippers... just don't want them anywhere near this beautiful machine, haha. I like the velcro feature on this particular brand of sleeve.

Whats the temp like when you put your MB or MBP in your Sacs while sleeping? Is it ok to do this?

Thinking about getting one for my new MBP coming next week hopefully

Sleeping is actually a powered off mode. It just does not log out and shut down and all that stuff. So the temp is the same as when the computer is powered off.

I just received my ColcaSac today. It fits the new 13" mbp very nicely! No wiggle room whatsoever! I'll have to get used to the style tho - I've only ever used neoprene.

I don't think I'll put the charger (or anything bulky) in the front pocket. I think it'll only stretch the pocket out.

And for any Timbuk2 laptop bag owners, my mbp, in the sleeve, fits inside my Timbuk2's padded laptop section absolutely perfectly! I feel my mbp will be very secure in this bag.

Lastly, I know they changed their name to ColcaSac, but I'd like to know if anybody has this sleeve with the new label, or does everyone have the AppleSac label?

I got mine after the name change, but the logo on the sac was still AppleSac.

How is the interior shedding one these? Aren't you guys concerned about bits of fluff getting into your MBPs? That's the only thing stopping me from ordering.

Edit:

Amazon Review

I read reviews before I got this product so I somewhat figured that I would have to use the lint roller when I first got it. I repeatedly lint rolled this sac and it would continue to shed. I decided to use the product anyways for the last month. When I decided to upgrade the ram on my MacBook I airdusted the innner components and there was black fuzz everywhere from this product. The idea of all th fuzz being trapped inside the CPU fan and other components makes it difficult for me to justify using it. I do like the uniqueness of the sleeve but if there was another material used for the inner part of the bag I would he perfect.

:/

Good point. I never thought of that.

Oh well... no turning back now...:p

How much bulk does the ColcaSac add to the macbook? I want to use the sleeve with a laptop backpack and want to make sure it will fit but the pictures on their website look a little bulky to me.

Thanks.

Not bulky AT ALL! :D I sold mine with my 13" and am getting one for my 15" Pro

It's not that bulky, but that's relative. Like I said in a post above, my 13" MBP fits the sleeve perfectly, with no wiggle room. And it slides into the laptop area of my Timbuk2 laptop messenger bag like a glove. I suppose you can find out the measurements of the laptop section to have a better idea. Not sure if they have that on their website, but I would think they do. Good luck.

I have this sleeve and I only have one concern (pointed out in another thread).

My main concern is that the inside lining does tend to shed alot. So much so that you can see tiny fibres all over the screen when you take it out of the case. My worry is that some of these small fibres are finding their way inside the computer.

First, turn it inside out and give it a good shake outside, then take packing tape and give it a once over to get rid of excess do this once or twice a week for 2 weeks and you'll be fine :)

Hmm... interesting, I will definitely try this. Maybe even give it a good vacuum or two could help also.

Now, if only I could fix my squeaky spacebar, lol.
