For sometime now ( about 5 years now ) I've been somewhat of a "mac-addict". Also, I've been carefully watching the development of the company, and it's rivals. This industry is very ruthless, and full of, for lack of a better word, crap. I've sat back and watched the macintosh community become a joke in the eyes of software and hardware developers across the board.
I for one, and sick about this. I don't plan on moving the technology world by posting my views on a rumor page. Yet it's a start. See this is a community of very loyal users, who have time and time again ignored the temptation of high clock speed, and software packed PCs , for a lot less than what I payed for my G4 ( 3000 and change ).
Back in the day , just about 8 years ago, Macintosh was a supreme power in the Tech world. Why? Because they offered the best products. Now, they are even below Linux in the amount of recognition gained by developers.
There needs to be a change. There needs to be new radical thinking at that company. They need to not only meet, but beet the Wintel smog. Cause lets face it people. Our favorite company, has become a refugee in the technology sector.
I for one, am actually fed up with having to go out and drive 20 minutes to gain my software, when I pass at least 5 other PC software vendors. I hate the fact that I have to pay twice as much for certified hardware, as their PC counterparts, and the lack of software is mind blowing.
All I'm asking from you, is to send some feedback to Apple and and software and hardware people , and bug them until they give in. :-D
I plan on starting a community site, for mac addicts like me to get their voice heard by the large corps who could care less about Macintosh, and maybe change their minds in one way or another.
So start email those companys you believe are slacking off in our department and erge them to make things happen.

i hear you

being a pc tech but mac addict at home, a lot of my peers considerr the mac a toy

it may be more of a perception than reality and that makes a lot of vendors not carry mac software

there are a lot of titles out there for mac but where i live in the rural section south of silicon valley, my best option is still catalog and internet and may be for some time to come

it would be nice to walk into office max and see hundreds of mac titles!
